Last Run…

Roger Graeber passed away in June 2020: he was 75. Roger was a train fan from his early childhood until passing. His yard held a recently restored Southern Pacific caboose, working train signals, and a miniature outdoor railroad. He spent a lot of time videoing the cars and Right-of-Way of the Northwestern Pacific Railroad.

Roger really enjoyed West Side Lumber Company and was always at the Tuolumne City Memorial Museum field trips taking great videos to capture the various logging camps and former WSLC employees. He and a partner were one of the first bidders on the Tuolumne Yard operations in the 1970s. He also did a great oral history video of Merv Johnson (author of In Search of Steam Donkeys, 2010). He also owned a speeder, and belonged to the Motor Car Operators West group where he and his wife travelled to historic ROWs. Roger was always there to help and offer advice on videos. He will be greatly missed. Our condolences to Connie, his wife of 54 years.
-Ed Sieckert.
